「考点精讲」辨析“四大花费”

cost,spend,take,与pay都可以表示“花费”，但用法却不尽相同。区别如下：

（1）cost 意为“花费”，主语是物，常用结构：sth. cost（s） sb. +some money. 例如：

A new computer costs a lot of money.

（买）一台新电脑要花一大笔钱。

（2）spend 意为“花费；度过”，主语是人，常用结构：sb. spend（s）some time/money on sth.；sb. spend（s）some time/money （in） doing sth. 例如：

I spent two hours on this math problem.

我在这道数学题上花了两个小时。

He spent 100 yuan （in）buying the coat.

他买这件外套花了100元。

The policeman spends his free time with his family.

这个警察和他的家人度过他的空闲时间。

（3）take 意为“花费”，it作形式主语，常用结构：It takes sb. some time to do sth.例如：

It took them four years to build this road.

他们用了四年时间修完了这条路。

（4）pay 意为“花费”，主语是人，常用结构：sb. pay（s）（sb.） some money for sth.例如：

I have to pay them 200 yuan for this room each month.

我每个月不得不付给他们200元的房租。

『注意』cost 还可做名词，意为“成本；费用；价格；代价”。常用于短语“the cost of…（……的花费）”。例如：

What is the cost of living in that country？

你在那个国家的生活费用是多少？
